How the data is collected and checkedClinic websites, ABS statistics, validation and versioning
  • Clinics are found through map searches, then listed once their own website has been read. Each fact keeps its source page and date.
  • Population, boundaries and business counts come from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Files are checked against the ABS totals before loading, and every figure names the ABS release it comes from.
  • Ingredient data comes from the AICIS Inventory snapshot and the EU CosIng annexes, kept as published. Ingredient reference pages are written from regulators and peer-reviewed studies, and published only after review.
  • Every calculation is a numbered version with recorded checks. Only validated versions are published, and the previous version can be restored.
  • Prices are grouped only with comparable prices. Courses, packages, per-unit and promotional prices, and treatments using prescription-only medicines, are excluded.
